Early Intervention

In 2018, plans were developed to establish a Special Interest Research Group on Early Intervention as a collaboration between the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IASSIDD) and the International Society on Early Intervention (ISEI). The overarching goal of the Early Intervention SIRG is to provide a forum for professionals around the world to communicate about advances in the field of early intervention and to further international efforts to establish high quality early intervention programs. We encourage participation of an interdisciplinary group of professionals, including basic and clinical researchers as well as clinicians and policy-makers in leadership positions.

In June 2019, the IASSIDD Council unanimously voted to welcome the proposed Early Intervention SIRG to their organization.
