Dear Colleagues,

We are so happy to announce the official launch of the Inclusive Research Special Interest Research Group (SIRG).

The main aim of our SIRG is to promote and support disability scholarship and stress the importance of actively including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in research. All activities in the Inclusive Research SIRG involve peer research and co-leadership of people with living experience of intellectual and developmental disability, supporting the practice of “nothing about us without us”.

The official launch of the Inclusive Research SIRG is Thursday 16th December at 1:00 p.m. (GMT). Everyone is invited to attend the event. We especially welcome contributions from inclusive researchers to sharing their work or ideas.

Plans for 2022 include our first online webinar on 30th March 2022 and other networking meetings during the year. We welcome contributions from other interest groups and inclusive researchers around the world, to join our vision of creating a global collaboration of inclusive research to improve the lives and well-being of people with living experience of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We warmly invite you to become members of the Inclusive Research SIRG when renewing your IASSIDD membership.
