We expect developments (commercial and private) to draw up travel plans as part of the planning process in Northamptonshire. This is done to achieve modal shift goals in the county. The following templates define the desired structure and content of the travel plans expected for approval by the borough council. Planning bonds are the mechanism by which land developers contribute to the provision of facilities and infrastructure to support Northamptonshire`s growth. There may be requirements for other developer contributions in other core documents (e.g. B the West Northamptonshire Common Core Strategy, adopted in December 2014). All affordable housing requirements will continue to be provided by Section 106 and not by CIL.
