A trade agreement (also known as a trade pact) is a large-scale fiscal, customs and trade agreement, which often contains investment guarantees. There are two or more countries that agree on terms that help them trade with each other. The most common trade agreements are the types of preferences and free trade concluded to reduce (or eliminate) tariffs, quotas and other trade restrictions for goods traded between signatories. A trade agreement signed between more than two parties (usually in the neighbourhood or in the same region) is considered multilateral. These face the main obstacles – in the negotiation of the substance and in the implementation. The more countries involved, the more difficult it is to achieve mutual satisfaction. Once this type of trade agreement is concluded, it will become a very powerful agreement. The larger the GDP of the signatories, the greater the impact on other global trade relations.
